CARIBOU – Josephine B. Newbegin, 83, wife of the late Clifford Newbegin, died January 4, 2010 at Caribou. She was born at Chapman, September 23, 1926, the daughter of Roy and May (Robins) Grendell. She was a graduate of the Mapleton High School. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family.
Josephine is survived by her five children, Diana Payne and her husband, Layton of Broadway, VA; Gloria Rader and her husband, Michael of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Jeff Newbegin and his wife, Colleen of Newport Center, VT; Michael Newbegin and his wife, Lucy of Caribou and Alan Newbegin and his wife, Steffi of Germany; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters and by a grandson.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Saturday, January 9, 2010, from 12 noon until time of services, which was held at 2 p.m. from the funeral home.
