Members of the Military Honor Roll Committee in Caribou are seeking the names of any service members who served during the Desert Storm era. The committee is currently compiling a list of those service men and women who would be eligible to have their names inscribed on the Caribou Honor Roll. Anyone who meets the following requirements are encouraged to contact Raphael Guerrette at 492-6931 (please leave a message) or 498-2844 between 7 and 9 a.m. The committee would like to inscribe any additional names on the Honor Roll by the end of August.
Eligibility requirements include being a resident of the local area including Caribou, New Sweden, Stockholm, Limestone and Washburn; serving in any branch of the U.S. Military between Aug. 2, 1990 and Nov. 30, 1995 in the countries of Kuwait, Iraq or Iran; Threatre of Operations, direct support of the war during that period; proof of service, DD214 or equivalent for justification of period of service; campaign ribbons and or Southwest Asia Campaign ribbon (SEA).
Cut-off date for enrollment is July 31, 2010.
