Woodland MEA results announced

    John Hedman, superintendent of School Union 122, has announced the Woodland School’s grades 3-8 MEA results from March, 2009.     According to Hedman 85 students or 100 percent of all grade 3-8 students took the Maine Educational Assessment  exam and 77.6 percent or 66 out of 85 students, met or exceeded the learning results Standards as prescribed by the Maine Department of Education in reading and 72.9 percent or 62 out of 85 students met or exceeded the standards in math.
    Hedman also stated that only three or 3.5 percent of all students were in the Does Not Meet category in reading and only five, or 5.9 percent of all 85 students were in the Does Not Meet category in math.
    All other students,18.8 percent in reading and 21.2 percent in math, scored in the Partially Meets category.
