To the editor:
Citizens for Responsible City Management (CFRCM) would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote on Election Day. No matter how you voted or for whom you voted, you took the time to vote. CFRCM would like to congratulate new councilor John Boone and incumbent Karla Bell. CFRCM would also like to thank all of you who stopped by to speak with us on your way out of the polls. You had many questions and comments, and well over 100 of you joined our organization that day. One of the comments we heard most from you was, “Please don’t stop what you are doing. We need a group like this in Caribou.” Rest assured, CFRCM will continue its effort to strive for transparency and fiscal responsibility within Caribou, and promote fair and equal treatment of its citizens.
We will be working in the coming months to promote the upcoming charter commission referendum. CFRCM handed out dozens of copies of the Caribou City Charter on Election Day, but we still did not have enough to go around. You can download the charter on our Web site, CaribouWatch.com. You can also view minutes from previous meetings as well as the agenda for upcoming meetings.
Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Van Buren Road Lodge. All are welcome to attend.
