Tourney benefits United Way

On Sept. 12, MMG Insurance held its annual golf tournament at the Aroostook Valley County Club in Fort Fairfield, to benefit United Way of Aroostook.     This year’s tournament was the 17th consecutive year that the tournament has been played. This year, the net profit was $23,535, with a combined total of the net profit over the 17-year period of $287,477.
“The staff at MMG Insurance did an outstanding job organizing the event,” said Claudia Stevens, Executive Director of the United Way. “MMG encourages their employees to get involved and give back to the community and their efforts were amazing.”
As United Way begins its fund raising efforts to raise $500,000, the funding received from this event represent the first dollars in and are a critical part of its success.
