Caribou Firefighter/Rescue Team member James Michaud, Jr. has been involved with the Caribou Fire and Ambulance Department for14 years. “I like helping people in both good and bad times,” said the 39-year-old firefighter.
A Caribou resident, Firefighter James is also employed by Irving Woodlands were he is a grader operator. He has two children, Abigail and Logan. When not at the firehouse or working with heavy equipment, he enjoys hunting, fishing and snowmobiling and spending time with his family and two dogs, Gracie and Kiera.
At the top of the local firefighter’s personal preference list for food and music is steak and Country or Rock ‘n Roll, with cabbage occupying the top of the least liked list.
Firefighter James stated, “ I enjoy being around people and meeting new ones. I like spending time with the guys at the fire station, it feels like one big family. We all work as a team to get things done.”
