Members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 15, in Caribou have announced that they have received word that winter coat donations coming from the Salvation Army will be limited this year.         To ensure all area children and adults have warm winter clothing, auxiliary members are asking residents to please bring new or gently worn, clean coats for children and adults to the American Legion bingo hall on Sweden Street (across from the movie theater) by Oct. 20.
The hall will be open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday evening from 4:30 to 9 p.m. and every morning from 7 to 9 a.m.
Shelley O’Rourke, publicity contact for the American Legion Auxiliary stated, “We will open the Post from Oct. 21 through Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. for those who need to pick up their coats.  Also, anyone knowing of someone in need are encouraged to let them know about the distribution times and dates. We can make a difference if we all work together,” O’Rourke added.
