The Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge and visitors center will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. daily from Oct. 11 through Oct. 17 for National Refuge Week. Tours into the bunker area will be available.
On Oct. 17, Ken Atcheson, who worked at East Loring, will be giving a presentation on the work that was being done on the base.
Childrens books and door prizes will be given away at the event and refreshments will be available. Additional information regarding the event can be obtained by calling 328-4634 and leaving a message to receive a call back.
The refuge is located on 97 Refuge Road off of the East Gate Road in Limestone.
