Jesse Faye, a 2008 graduate of Caribou High School, currently attending Fine Mortuary College in Norwood, Mass., was recently selected by his employer, the Service Corporation International of Boston, to assist with the funeral services for the late U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy. The young apprentice said he was honored to be involved in the celebration of the life of the renowned senator. Faye said, “Things were very busy from Wednesday morning until Saturday evening. I will always feel honored to have been asked to be a part of Sen. Kennedy’s funeral services, it will remain very memorable.”
Faye assisted with the arrangements at the JFK Library where the public viewing/wake for the late Senator Kenney was held. “I was there pretty much that entire day,” said Faye, and although I wasn’t involved with his funeral service at the church, I was there.”
Faye stated that Service Corporation International, which owns funeral homes world-wide, has always provided funeral arrangements for the Kennedy family in the Boston area.
“There were several of us, as apprentices, who were selected to participate in these arrangements and services,” stated Faye. “Not a lot of people get named to be involved with something as extreme as this was, it was nice to be selected.”
Jesse Faye is the son of Jennie Faye of Limestone.
