The Caribou Public Library will be hosting an open house today, Aug. 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. With library staff dressed in period clothing, serving refreshments, the event features titles penned by local Maine authors and special guest, Poet Stephen Redic will present a poetic reading taken from his works, from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Chester Gage, well-known Caribou artist will have paintings on display at this time.
The open house will also highlight displays of historical photosof the community, printed work and books covering the past 150 years.
