Caribou Library to host open house

    The Caribou Public Library will be hosting an Open House as part of Caribou’s Sesquicentennial Celebration on Wednesday, August 26, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  The library will feature the works of local authors as well as the extensive works of local writer and historian George Whitneck.      The ‘Women’s First’ quilt will be on display as well as a recently completed painting of a Caribou by local artist Chester Gage.  
    Former Caribou resident, author and poet, Stephen Redic, will be having a poetry reading and book signing from 1:30 to 3 p.m. during this event.
    Refreshments will be served by staff members, dressed in period costumes. Area residents are encouraged to stop by the library to take part in this festive occasion.
