Russell Levesque of Caribou is offering someone a chance at a new beginning. As owner of the well-known DoDo’s Market located at 539 Access Highway, Levesque is looking to relocate and is currently holding an essay contest through which he may just find his successor, someone who will become the new owner of the established site, as well as a second property which abuts the store in the back via the Noyes Road.

DoDo’s Market, 539 Acccess Highway, Caribou.
Levesque is seeking 2,500 essay entries which are to be judged independently by individuals outside of his business. The cost for an entry into this business opportunity is $200. The Home and Business Essay Contest and all rules and regulations have been developed by an attorney.
The property available includes DoDo’s Market, a commercial building, on .66 acres of land, currently housing two well-established businesses, a convenience store and redemption center plus one three-bedroom apartment. Both of the businesses are to include all equipment and inventory.
The second property, which connects to the land behind the market on 18 Noyes Road is a two-bedroom home which sits on 1.66 acres.
Levesque, who left the area in 1978, returned in 2005 and purchased DoDo’s Market at that time. “We’ve done a lot of renovations to the these properties and I have always been very satisfied with the success of this business. The winner of the essay contest will be free to do whatever they wish with the properties,” said Levesque, “they will own everything, free and clear — ready to rock ‘n’ roll.”
Levesque also said he would remain (if asked) for at least two weeks to assist the new owner in becoming familiar with the day-to-day operations. “This is a business opportunity, free and clear, for anyone who is interested, whether they wish to actually run the store, change it into another type of business or resell, it would be completely their decision.”
