LIMESTONE — Since May 1, The Loring Job Corps Center has been under new management. Career Systems Development Corporation (CDSC), the current operator of the Loring Job Corps Center, also manages the Penobscot Job Corps Center in Bangor. During a Community Relations Council luncheon that took place on May 21, Patty Wooten was introduced as Loring’s new center director.
“[Wooten] has served as construction cluster center director for the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Academy for two years, serving approximately 300 students,” said Connie Sandstrom, CRC chair at Loring during her introduction of Wooten. “Mrs. Wooten is a graduate of CSD’S Executive Leadership Training Program, which is an 18-month program designed to prepare promising staff for promotion to senior leadership level and Center Director positions. Prior to joining Job Corps, Mrs. Wooten served as the Academy’s finance manager, was promoted to director of administration and advanced to construction cluster center director. These roles gave her the opportunity to supervise an increasing number of staff and departments,” Sandstrom added.
Wooten has a BS in organizational leadership and a MS in public service administration.
