Anderson, Barbara M., 80, Woodland, at Caribou, June 14, 2009. Graveside committal services will be held 11 a.m., June 18, at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. Arrangements are in the care of the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.

 

Image    WOODLAND – Barbara M. Anderson, 80, died June 14, 2009 at Caribou. She was born at Woodland, May 26, 1929, the daughter of Albert and Elvin (Ward) Haines. Our mom was a devoted wife and mother. Barb was a great cook who loved to entertain. She enjoyed family and friends. She loved to read, do crafts, play cards and especially her home at Madawaska Lake. She was a member of the Lister-Knowlton Post #9389 VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Perkins-Plourde Post #136 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
    Barbara is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Roland A. Anderson of Madawaska Lake; a son Donald E. Anderson and his wife Marie of New Sweden; a daughter Nancy Brewer and her husband Jim of Presque Isle; three brothers, Albert Haines and his wife Lois, Ronald Haines and his wife Joan and Alan Robert Haines and his wife Sandra; two sisters, Brenda Haines and Van Haines; her grandchildren Kristi Lee Brewer, Chad Brewer and his wife Lisa, Angela Anderson and her fiancé Norman Burby, Eric Anderson and his wife Megan, Faith Anderson and her husband, Jared and Lance Anderson and his wife Tanya; great-grandchildren Justin, Mia, Aimon, Tanner, Anna and Ava; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Pam Downing Johnson.  She was predeceased by a son Roland Anderson Jr. and three sisters Hilma Downing, Jean Haines and Susan Haines.
    At Barb’s request, graveside committal services will be held 11 a.m. June 18, 2009, at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou, with the Rev. Gordon Compton, officiating. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Barb may do so to the Maine Veterans Home, Caribou. The family wishes to thank the many caregivers of the Maine Veterans Home for the excellent care and compassion, for not only our mom and wife, but the many residents who count on them.
