Caribou – Steven H. Sam Jr., 39, died May 31, 2009 at his Caribou residence. He was born at Providence, R.I., July 26, 1969, the son of Steven and Mary (Francis) Sam Sr. Junior enjoyed working seasons with Kiersted Farms making many friends each season. He was a proud member of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs, a man proud of his culture and Spiritual in his own way, offering tobacco prayers for his family and friends daily. His jokes, laughter and smile will be missed by all who knew him.
Junior loved and respected his mom and held her in high regards. He will be especially missed by Steven Jeff Francis, his uncle and friend.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Caribou are a daughter Alisha Carter of Methuen, MA; three sisters Pamela Marie, Donna Jean Sam and Thirisha Simon all of Caribou; paternal grandmother Mary Martha Francis of Presque Isle; many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Stillman Sam.
