June 9 election

To the editor:
My name is Wade McLaughlin; I just wanted to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for town selectperson in Limestone. I was born and raised in Limestone.     We are at a crossroads right now, this minute, to effect change. I am not coming to be the savior of the town; in fact, I make no promise except this, to use common sense to do what is in the best interest of the people who live here. I will also remain positive while doing so.
To be positive is not a sign of weakness. I remember the words I heard in Bangor back over a year and a half ago from Barack Obama himself. “We have a chance to provide hope. Hope is what gives us the courage to take on our greatest challenges, to move forward together. We live in cynical times, I know that. But hope is not up for debate. There is no such thing as false hope. There is only hope.”
I have hope for the town of Limestone. I also hope for your support on Tuesday, June 9. Please vote Wade McLaughlin for Town Selectperson in Limestone.
