January
•    The Viking varsity cheerleading squad placed sixth at the Penobscot Valley Conference cheering camp on Jan. 11. Coach Brandi Makepeace went on to lead the squad to a third place finish at the Big East Championships Jan. 18.

February
•    On Feb. 2, the Caribou wrestling team finished fifth at the PVC championship. Seniors Carlin Dubay and Brian Vrieze took the titles in their appropriate weight classes.

•    The wrestling team came in third in the Class B Eastern Maine Championship on Feb. 14. •    Viking senior Kyle Corrigan passed his 1,000 point mark in varsity basketball against Erskine Academy

•    Wrestler Carlin Dubay won the Class B state championship title in the 103-pound division. Traveling to Lowell, Mass., Dubay was titled New England Champion.

March
•    MMG donated $50,000 towards Caribou High School’s tennis court project.

•    At the Nordic Heritage Center, the Caribou Middle School ski team took 1st in the freestyle championship on March 20.

•    On March 22, the Caribou Middle School wrestling team won the 2008 Aroostook League Championship with a total of 262 points.

April
•    Viking runners Emily Anderson, Christine Savage, Karyn King, Tyler Theriault, Nate Swan and Carlin Dubay all qualified for the state championship in track and field.

May
•    The Dutch Soccer Academy traveled to Western Europe during April vacation, spending time in Holland, Belgium and Germany.

•    On May 20, the Caribou Viking track and field team won the Aroostook County Championship

June
•    The Viking boys track and field team crossed the line in third place at the PVC Championship.

•    Caribou boys varsity tennis obtained the well earned Class B State Championship title, with a season record of 80-0.
