ATV bridge builders recognized

 ImageKathy Mazurchelli from the Caribou Parks and Recreation Department recently recognized the Caribou ATV Club for developing and building the Lagasse Connector Trail at the Caribou  City Council meeting held recently.     Mazurchelli provided a power point presentation of before and after pictures of several areas of the trail. Included in the presentation were pictures of the building of the Lagasse/Duncan Wharf Bridge which is placed at the Caribou Stream. She stated that this project took approximately three years and 1,600 hours of volunteer work done by the members of the Caribou ATV Club.
    The Caribou Police Department and the Caribou Public Works were also recognized for their assistance, as well as the many landowners who gave the ATV group permission to use their land in the development of the Lagasse Connector Trail.
    Superintendent Mazurchelli stated “ I can honestly say that working on this project with the members of the Caribou ATV Club has been truly one of the most rewarding” “They did it.”
    Members Marcel Bosse, Louis McNeal, Mark Andrews and Trailmaster Richard Lagasse were presented Bridge Builder Awards. Brian Duncan and John Courchene, absent from the meeting, were also recognized.
