SOME OF PRESQUE ISLE’S most notable sites now are adorned with plaques that include historic facts and photos of the locations. The plaques were recently installed and a ceremony held to officially ‘unveil’ the images in time for the city’s Sesquicentennial.
Pictured here at the historic fire station on Church St., one of the many sites bearing a plaque, are, from left: Billie Brodksy, member of the Presque Isle Downtown Revitalization Committee; City Manager Tom Stevens; Kim Hall, chair of the Sesquicentennial Committee and treasurer for the Presque Isle Historical Society; Dr. Richard “Dick” Graves, city historian; Patty LeBlanc, president of the Downtown Revitalization Committee; and George  Howe, development specialist for the city of Presque Isle. (Watch for the story in a future issue).
