The Aroostook County Committee of the Maine Community Foundation recently awarded $3,500 to the Caribou School Department to go toward the construction of a six-court tennis complex. Committee members stated they were pleased to support a project that has such community support and which will benefit the citizens of Caribou and surrounding communities.
Caribou High School Athletic Director David Wakana said, “ The tennis court complex project is well on its way, with over $22,000 having been contributed to date. The fund-raising goal of $300,000 is now within reach and ground-breaking is set to begin in the very near future.”
