Members of the 20th Maine Civil War Regiment joined the festivities during the annual Fort Fairfield Potato Blossom Parade, July 19. Regiment members continue to uphold the unit’s history by marching in local events wearing Civil War uniforms and participating in battle re-enactments.

New Sweden residents,Betty and Jim Grant, found the perfect perch from which to watch the 61st annual Potato Blossom Parade in Fort Fairfield on July 19. The extravaganza once again drew a tremendously large crowd of parade viewers who weren’t disappointed as they enjoyed all of the sights, sounds and perfect weather.
