DYER BROOK – Limestone softball reaffirmed their undefeated status, 5-0, Monday with a six-run seventh inning to defeat Southern Aroostook, 11-10. Senior Eagle Melanie Allen pushed her team’s offense with two home runs and a single. Dawn McDonald added an RBI double.

Senior Matt Enman captained the Limestone baseball team over the Warriors, 11-5. Enman doubled twice for three runs in the victory. Teammate Matt Beaulieu added four singles, and Ty Tracy posted a double for two runs.
Eagle softball flew past Greater Houlton Christian Academy in Saturday’s game at the Limestone field with six home runs, 35-13. Eagle Victoria St. Pierre blasted two home runs and one double to run in seven scores. Senior Allen matched her teammate with two home runs. Allen also posted two doubles and four RBIs. Stacey Bernier also had two homers and four RBIs for the Eagles.
The Limestone Eagle ball clubs held their own on the field again last Wednesday, sweeping away Van Buren.
At the baseball diamond, Limestone’s defense held firm against Van Buren allowing only two runs for the 12-2 win. Eagle Chris Parent pitched a whole game allowing only three hits and striking out five with three walks. Tom Albert hit one single and a sacrifice to help in three runs for Limestone. Mike Allen posted a double and single, driving in one run.
In softball action, the Eagle offense overwhelmed Van Buren for the 20-8 final. McDonald slammed a homerun for three runs and tallied up three doubles and one single for six runs. Bringing in three runs, Allen socked three singles and one double. St. Pierre added a double and single with two RBIS, and Stacey Bernier had two singles and two RBIs for Limestone.
