Caribou Little League
The Caribou Little League will hold umpire clinics at the Caribou Recreation Center on Wednesday, May 7 and Sunday, May 11th Both clinics start at 7 p.m.     Anyone who has a desire to help out the Caribou Little League organization with a positive attitude and willingness to work with the area’s youth must attend at least one of these clinics. Applicants must be at least 15-years-old. Umpiring counts toward community service for high school students.
    Rules and proper techniques will be discussed.

2008 Caribou Little League opening ceremony
    The 2008 Little League season will get underway with the opening day ceremony on Wednesday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Little League White field located at the Hilltop School area on Marshall Ave. All players, managers, coaches, family members and anyone who has been associated with the League are urged to attend. The Little League scholarships will be awarded to two past league players. Teams are asked to be there for pictures at 5:30. ATV safety course
    The Star City ATV Club is sponsoring a two day ATV safety course on May 9 and 10 at the Presque Isle Police Department. Hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. on the 9th and 8 a.m. to noon on the 10th. Students from 10 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The fee is $5. For more information, call 764-8313 or 488-9605 in the evenings.

    On Saturday, May 10 Mojo’s in Presque Isle will host spinskis individual time trails on Parsons Road in Presque Isle. The distance is 10 miles. The participating fee is $3. For more information, call 769-9500 or visit www.melsmojo.com.
    County Physical Therapy is offering yoga classes with Sarah Dominick to limber, tone and strengthen the body. Classes are Tuesdays in Presque Isle at 5:30 p.m., Wednesdays in Caribou at 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and Thursdays in Madawaska at 5 p.m. Cost is $8 per session for non-CPT members and $5 for members.
