State Senate Candidate Troy Jackson, D-Allagash, will hold a “meet and greet” session on Saturday, May 10 at the Caribou Wellness Center from 6 to 8 p.m. Jackson, now a member of the state House of Representatives, is running for Senate District 35. He is opposed in the June 10 Democratic primary by retired game warden Gary Pelletier of Cross Lake.
Jackson said he wants to talk with constituents about what issues are important to them.
“The Senate district is so large, it’s difficult to go from door to door,” Jackson said.
Jackson, a logger, has served six years in the Maine Legislature and is chairman of the Island Fisheries and Wildlife Committee and is a member of the Labor Committee.
