Caribou Middle School honors November, December students of the month

   CARIBOU, Maine — Caribou Middle School recently named students of the month for the months of November and December. November students of the month at CMS are as follows:

Dustin Bouchard

Dustin Bouchard, a fifth grader at CMS. According to teachers he has established himself as a respectful citizen of the school. According to the CMS “Sur-five-ors” team he demonstrates a caring attitude toward his school, classmates and work and is never afraid to lend a helping hand to his fellow classmates. He has also put his talents to use by joining the school’s Civil Rights Team.

Kristin Macek

Kristin Macek has been named November student of the month for the fifth grade “Braniacs Team.”  Her teachers describe her as being a very conscientious student who has attainted highest honors for the first quarter of the year due to her quality of work and her high level of responsibility. She enjoys music and is a member of the strings program, in which she plays violin. Her teachers also describe her as being a kind person, who enjoys being around others.

Sirena Cyr

Sirena Cyr has been named “’6’ceeders” student of the month for November. She is very involved in athletics as a member of the cross country running team, the cross country skiing team and the track team. According to her teachers she is academically as good a student as she is an athlete, as a high honor student who works diligently in all subject areas. According to her teachers she is always willing to assist her peers and to partner with anyone on projects.

Kameron Manter

Kameron Manter has been named November student of the month by the grade 6 WOWS team. Manter is a highest honor student who also plays Rec. basketball, soccer and little league. He is also a an outstanding trumpet player in the band. According to his teachers, one of his finest traits is who respectful he is toward his teachers. Although he takes his education very seriously, his teachers have also pointed out his excellent sense of humor.

 

Zac Gorence

Zac Gorence has been named November student of the month by the seventh grade S.W.A.T. team. He is involved in a number of activities at the school and is a model school citizen according to his teachers. He is a member of the boys basketball team, as well as the boys soccer team. He is also a member of student government. His teachers say that he is a proven leader to his entire class modeling excellent work ethic and attitude.

Reanna Plourde

Reanna Plourde has been named November student of the month by the grade 7 STARS team. She is a member of the CMS Band, Chorus and the cross country team, and is well liked by her teachers and peers. She is also on the high honor roll. Her teachers say that her smiling face brightens the day of those around her. She also plays the flute and piano and enjoys playing soccer and reading. She is also very involved with her church where she takes part in a number of activities.

Paige Small

Paige Small has been selected as 8th grade student of the month for November for her involvement with soccer, basketball and tennis while maintaining a highest honor roll, grade point average. She is also a homeroom representative and a member of the eighth grade leadership team. She is also a dance instructor in her free time as a founding member of Small Steps Dance.

Nick Dobson

Nick Dobson has been selected as November student of the month in the eighth grade for always being willing to lend a helping hand, which he demonstrates through his daily I-Book responsibilities in room 7. He is also a member of the math team and the eighth grade leadership team. Teachers say that he is a very polite, hard working student, which is evidenced by his placement on the highest honor roll.

December students of the month are as follows:

Jenny Chapman

Jenny Chapman has been named as December student of the month for the fifth grade “Brainiacs” team. According to her teachers she is a kind, caring and helpful to her classmates and is well respected by her peers and teachers. She is also an honor roll student.

Katie Pelletier

Katie Pelletier has been named December student of the month by the “Sur ‘five’ ors” team. She is a role model showing superior leadership qualities according to her teachers. She is actively involved in the civil rights team and is a member of the CMS band. She is also a hard working student, which is evidenced by her first quarter placement on the highest honor roll. According to her teachers she is a very thoughtful, kind and always has a smile on her face.

Courtney Sheldon

Courtney Sheldon has been named December student of the month by the grade 6 W.O.W. team. She is described by her teachers as bubbly, effervescent and sparkling. Her teachers and classmates appreciate her upbeat personality. Her teachers say that her leadership skills make it easy for her to do her best in all her classes and that her grades reflect her excellent work ethic. She enjoys many hobbies such as scrapbooking and cross-stitching. She is also a member of the CMS chorus and show choir as well as a Girl Scout.

Delaney Williams

Delaney Williams has been named December student of the month by the sixth grade Six-Seeders team. According to her teachers she is a quiet young lady who is never too busy to help a classmate or do a kind deed for anyone. She is a member of the ABYL basketball team, recreation soccer and cross country running teams at CMS. Her teachers agree that she exhibits the qualities of a true citizen of Caribou Middle School.

Nolan McDuffie

Nolan McDuffie has been named as the Grade 7 STARS team student of the month for December. He is a member of the soccer, baseball, basketball, cross-country and skiing teams. He also participates in band and student organization and plays on the little league team. His teachers say that he is a very good student and is very helpful around the class.

Olivia Sleeper

Olivia Sleeper has been named December student of the month by the grade 7 S.W.A.T. team. She achieves consistently excellent grades and is a talented athlete who participates in school activities such as soccer, basketball and track. She is also a member of chorus. Her teachers say that she is an outstanding school citizen, serving as a role model and leader to her classmates.

 

Erin Kinney

    Erin Kinney has been named eighth grade student of the month for December. She is described as an excellent, hard working student who is always willing to lend a hand to a fellow student or teacher. She is also a cheerleader and accomplished baton twirler.

Hongtao Wu

Hongtao Wu has been selected as eighth grade student of the month for December. Teachers say that he has made great strides in his English language skills. He participates in dodgeball and soccer at CMS and is currently the Knights of Columbus Penalty Kick Competition State Champion.
