Photo corrections
    A picture of the Aroostook Football League varsity Huskies ran in the November 14 issue of The Aroostook Republican. Due to an oversight some of the team members in the photo were not identified.     The Caribou High School athletic boosters will host an alumni game on Friday, Nov. 23. The girls’ game will begin at 6 p.m., and the boys’ will follow at 7:30 p.m. All former Caribou varsity basketball players are invited to play. National baseball teams
    Coast to Coast Baseball is inviting amateur baseball players between the ages of 13 to 15 and 16 to 18 to learn more about teams being formed to represent the USA in competition in Puerto Rico, Australia and Hawaii.

Limestone ski club
    The Limestone ski club will sponsor an after-school ski program for middle school students. Registration forms are available from the recreation or school office. The deadline is Dec. 12, and spaces are limited. For more information call 328-7491.
TAMC/TD Banknorth Eastern Series Races
    Volunteers are needed to help at the TAMC/TD Banknorth cross country ski event to be held at the Nordic Heritage Center on Dec. 15 and 16. For more information, call 551-1705 or email heidibartleynhsc@maine.rr.com.
Girl’s youth hockey league
    The girl’s youth hockey league began in October and continues to invite new participants. The program is for ages 10 to 17, and will run to March. The team meets at the Forum in Presque Isle on Tuesdays from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. For more information contact Dennis Albert at 764-3862.
Adventure Sundays

    The Nordic Heritage Sport Club and Maine Winter Sports Center are teaming up to host another “Adventure Sunday” at the Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle. Area youth in grades five to eight are invited to participate in a Poker Hike on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m.
    This activity will include an introduction to the basics of orienteering and using a map and compass, and will feature a moderate trek on the trails of the Nordic Heritage Center.

Nordic Walking Club
    The Nordic walking club will meet every Tuesday at noon at noon at Gentile Hall at the University of Maine at Presque Isle until Dec. 18. Membership is $100 and includes a pair of walking poles and a Craft brand Pro-warm base layer. Contact Melanie Stewart at 760-9500.
Turkey Trot 5K
    The annual Turkey Trot 5k will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24 starting at Caribou High School. Registration begins at 9 a.m., the race following at 10 a.m. The registration fee is $10. The first 50 runners get shirts. For more information, contact Dan Harrigan at 498-3226.
    Post race ceremonies include turkey topped pizza and awards for the race winners.
Baseball fantasy trip
    The Alfond Youth Center announces their 7th annual baseball fantasy trip to take place from June 16 to 21.
    The tentative schedule includes three games in Philadelphia with Red Sox, either the Mets or the Yankees and a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame. For more information and an application, contact Vaughn Clark at 873-0684 ext. 221.
