Food pantry request

To the editor:
    Caribou Ecumenical Food Pantry is urging residents, businesses and organizations to participate in our “November Nutrition” program. Because of many generous gifts to our November Nutrition Drive in 2006, we were able to continue to function and share emergency food with those who are hungry.     When the Food Pantry reorganized in 1999, expenses were far lower than they are today and our “bare bones” operating costs have increased by 50 percent. We need your financial support, your prayers, and your backing in any way. Your willingness to keep our food program going will be sincerely appreciated.

    Visitors are welcome to drop by the Pantry any Tuesday or Thursday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. You may even wish to unpack a box or stack a shelf with food!
