    Scott, Ronald W., 78, July 17, 2015.  A graveside service will be held today, Wednesday, July 29, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Houlton.  Arrangements by Direct Cremation of Maine.

American Flag Color    PRESQUE ISLE & HOULTON – Ronald W. Scott, 78, passed away July 17, 2015, in Presque Isle after a short but courageous fight with cancer. He was born December 17, 1936, to Arthur and Doris (Brewer) Scott of Houlton.
    Ron grew up in Houlton. He was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran having served from 1956-1964. After a year of his return to Houlton, he married Edwina VanTasel on June 5, 1965.
    Ron worked at Parkview Terrace and Reids Confectionary for many years. He was a wonderful cook and loved to make meals or desserts for his family and friends.
    Ron is survived by his daughter, Tammi (Scott) Easler and her husband, David of Washburn; three grandchildren that he adored and was very proud of: Stephen Nason and his girlfriend, Tawny Cookson of Bangor, and Katie and Abbie Easler of Washburn.
    He was predeceased by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Arthur and David Scott; and step-father, Vern Thurlow.
    A graveside service with Military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 29, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Smyrna Street, Houlton. Online condolences can be expressed at directcremationofmaine.com
