The Island Falls Senior Citizens met at the municipal building April 2, with 17 members in attendance.
Members provided a complete Easter dinner with a large array of pastries. This was the group’s semiannual fundraiser for the scholarship fund, and the scholarship is now fully funded for this year.
Prior to the business meeting, the Lord’s Prayer and Flag Salue were observed and the secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were given. A discussion ensued on where to go for the spring outing on May 7, and the vote was for a Chinese restaurant in Lincoln. Details will follow at the next meeting.
Members present were Mary Joy, Ellie Peck, Jeanne Clements, Leon Botting, Donna Baker, Judy Botting, Edith Dwyer, Rich Camire, Mary Pipes, Mary Lawler, Darrell and Sherry Hartin, Dennis Boone, Verna Boone, Donna Furrow, Terry Dwyer and a new member, Marilyn Noyes.
