Black Hawks nearly win

The Houlton-Hodgdon Black Hawks produced as much offense as they have all season on Monday against Messalonskee. The Black Hawks were edged 11-8.
Two Black Hawk players scored hat tricks (three goals in a game) as Brandon Dunn led the offense with four goals and A.J. Henderson added three tallies. Drew Marino chipped in with a single tally.

    Last Saturday in Houlton, the Black Hawks fell to Old Town/Orono, 8-2.
At the Millar Civic Center, Marino and Jeremy Fitzpatrick each scored for the Black Hawks, with goalie Noah Blake finishing with 24 saves.
For Old Town/Orono, Jacob Dubay recorded a hat trick, with Damien Spencer scoring twice with two assists. Lucas Shorette had a goal and two assists, while Tyler Byther and Ben Allen-Rahill each had single tallies. Goalie Chase Albert had 18 saves.
The Presque Isle Wildcats blanked Houlton-Hodgdon last Wednesday night, 6-0, at the Millar Civic Center.
Joe Patenaude and Dan Boucher each scored two goalsfor the Wildcats.
Jack Andrus and Reece McDougall each contributed one goal, while Alex Michaud added two assists.
Houlton goalie Blake faced 30 shots. Presque Isle’s Jillian Flynn saw 11 shots.
