Scharnick, Christina R., 43, September 19, 2014. A gathering will be held Saturday, September 27 at Danforth Town Hall at noon, followed by a burial ceremony at the East Grand Stables.
Christina Rae Scharnick was born on September 14, 1971, to Lori Spaulding (then Scharnick). She went to be with the Lord on September 19, 2014.
She spent the first fourteen years of her life wandering the farms and woods of South Jersey with her sister, Lily. She moved to Maine when she was 14 and found out what real lakes and woods were like.
Christina graduated Mount Desert Island High School. Her best subject was art. This is not surprising as she had this way of always trying to make the world around her beautiful. She was a good friend and a generous person. She gave her best to everyone without judgment.
As an adult she enjoyed fishing and going for long rides to gaze at the stars with her fiancee, Lindy. She had a heart of gold.
She is survived by her son, Hunter Scharnick (11); her fiancée, Lindy Lowe; her mother, Lori Spaulding; and her sister, Lily DuVall. She also left behind Ernie Spaulding, her stepfather; Harvey, her second father; Jackie and Jim Lowe, and many, many good friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Hunter Scharnick’s college fund at Machias Bank at P.O. Box 219, 38 Depot St., Danforth, ME 04424. We will be having a gathering Saturday, September 27 at Danforth Town Hall at 12 p.m., and then a burial ceremony at the East Grand Stables, returning to the town hall for a potluck gathering. Please consider bringing your favorite dish.
