We had a great golf week at VaJoWa … cooler temperatures along with nice breezes created a perfect days on the links!
The Pairs and Spares “Red and White” mixed scramble results are as follows: first, Stu Kelley, Valerie Powers and Peter Blood 32; second, Jon Smallwood, Kim Savage, Becky Kelley and Brandon Savage 32; third, Greg Douglas, Bev Osborn and Scott Savage — with all teams at 32, placement was determined by handicap holes. Mark your calendars because the fun starts at 3 p.m. every Sunday with a $2.50 per person entry fee.
The winners for the Saturday Scramble on July 26 were Chris Eastham, Grady Anderson, Kevin Carton and Theron Larkins with two under par!
We still have room for a couple more foursomes for Moonlight Golf. Give us a call! If you don’t have a complete group we will help to team you with someone. This is only offered once a year during Island Falls Summerfest. Play is on Friday, Aug. 1 at 9 p.m. Please register by 8:30 at the latest! The cost for members will be $20 per person and non-members will be $30 per person. The price includes cart and one glow ball. Please bring flashlights if you have them. Space is limited so please call early to reserve your carts!
