PATTEN – Pauline E. Howes, 93, died June 22, 2014, in Patten. She was born October 14, 1920, in Patten, the daughter of Vernon and Ena (Parsons) Palmer.
She is survived by her children, Rodney Howes of Washington DC, Joanne Hanson and her husband, Cecil, of Dunstable, MA, and Robert Howes and his wife, Jean of Patten; seven grandchildren; Karen Suvalskas and her husband Tom, Terry Hanson and his wife, Lisa, Kathy Ogiba and her husband, Mike, Debi Durand and her husband, Guy, Eric Hanson and his wife, Susan, Libby Roy and her husband, Jamie, and Kenyon Howes and his wife, Jessica; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon McKiernan of Ephrata, PA; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George Howes; her parents; two sisters, Generrieve Leavitt and Honey Lyons; and a brother, Vernon Palmer.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 3 at the Patten Cemetery with the Rev. Ruth Foss officiating.
