HOULTON – Marion M. Polchies, 74, of Houlton, died June 18, 2014, at her home. She was born Sept. 20, 1939, in Houlton, the daughter of Joseph and Marion (Hunter) Gramour.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and worked for ACAP for 25 years.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney and Linda Polchies and Mark Polchies, all of Houlton; four grandchildren, Emily, Rod Jr., Justin and Dylan; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Georgiann Morin of Houlton; two brothers-in-law, Valentino and Bonnie Polchies of Woodstock, N.B., Canada, and Terry and Sylvia Polchies of Bangor; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her companion, Vern McLaughlin of Dyer Brook. She was predeceased by her husband, Maynard; three brothers, Jimmy, George and Bernard; and one sister, Gladys Gravel.
Friends called 12-2 p.m. Monday, June 23 at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with funeral services held at 2 p.m. with Deacon Albert Burleigh officiating.
