With some beautiful weather this past weekend, it was great to see so many of you out golfing! We are offering many great events and programs weekly so be sure to check your calendars so you can participate!
Every Sunday is the Pairs and Spare Golf starting at 3 p.m. On Sunday, June 22, the winning team was Stu Kelley, Scott Savage and Terry Pettengill with an amazing five under par, with second place going to Greg Douglas, Peter Blood and Deb Porter with one under par. The third place team of Jon Smallwood, John Porter and Ola Tucker came in even. Come join the fun … $5 entry.
Don’t forget this Thursday’s Good Times Golf at 5:30! The format will be a nine-hole alternate shot tourney. Sign up or call by 5:15 p.m. and entry fee is $5.
Last Saturday, scramble winners were Billy Boulier, Phil Desmond and Pete Lawlor with a 70. Saturday, June 28th, VaJoWa will host a scramble. The teams will be made the morning of the event by drawing from a hat. The cost is $5 for members play will start at 8 a.m and be 18 holes. Pins will be available for $2.
The annual Flag Day Tournament will be held on Friday, July 4th. This can be played any time before 3 p.m. You can set up your own pairing for the event. Each player is given a flag and when he or she reaches their target score, the flag is placed on the ground where their ball lies. The target score is 72 plus whatever your handicap is. The cost is $10 per person.
