    Watson, Oral R., 59, March 3, 2014.  Spring interment to be held in the Littleton Cemetery.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.

    Monticello – Oral R. Watson, 59, went to be with his Savior and Lord, after a thirty year long battle with Systemic Lupus Erythemato-sus, March 3, 2014. He was surrounded by his family at a local hospital. He was born Nov. 21, 1954, at Houlton, the son of Lawrence and Julia (Brooker) Watson.
    Oral graduated from Houlton High School in 1973 and went to work full time for his father as the fourth generation of Watson men to become water well contractors. In 1983, Oral and brother James, bought the drilling business. It continues to operate with brother Jim Watson and Oral’s son James doing the drilling. Oral was a member and former deacon of the United Baptist Church of Littleton, an avid reader, member of the Meduxnekeag Ramblers Snowmobile Club and member of the Houlton Community Golf Course. He was a man who truly enjoyed work, trips to camp, fishing the Miramichi, snowmobiling, signing trails and his children and grandchildren were the light of his life
    Oral is survived by his mother Julia of Houlton, wife Heidi (Good) Watson of Monticello; his son James D. Watson and his wife Erin of Littleton; his daughter Kathryn Michaud and her husband Michael of Chapman; two grandchildren Jacob and Faith Watson of Littleton; his brother James L. Watson and his wife Rondise of Littleton; and his sister Jeanne Watson of Houlton; four nieces LaDericka and Arthur Sewell, Lezley and Brian Sturtevant, Amber and Derek Hines, Lindsay Watson. He was predeceased by his father Lawrence E. Watson and his in-laws Arnold and Marion Good.
    Friends called 11:00 AM Friday at the United Baptist Church of Littleton until the time of the service 1:00 PM with Pastor Steve Straubel officiating. Spring interment will be in the Littleton Cemetery.
