HOULTON, Maine — The Gentle Memorial Building was transformed into a Valentine’s Day paradise Friday evening for Houlton Elementary School’s sixth annual “Daughter Dance.” Nearly 200 students and their “dates” attended this year’s event, which serves as a fundraiser for the school’s Parent-Teacher Organization.
While the majority of the youngsters opted to dance and run around on their own, there were a few daring dads who took to the dance floor to dance with their daughters to show off their moves.
Houlton native Jake Ball, currently a resident of Caribou, once again provided the music and light show for the evening and kept the youngsters (and parents) dancing the night away.
