HOULTON – Samantha N. Wortman, 23, died Jan. 28, 2014, at a local hospital. She was born Oct. 5, 1990, at Lincoln, the daughter of Richard and Peggy (Hayes) Wortman.
Samantha attended local schools and was a proud graduate of Houlton High School, Class of 2010. She loved being on her computer, texting on her cellphone and always having family and friends around. She loved being outdoors with family and friends or just watching what everyone was up to on Kelleran street.
Samantha is survived by her parents; two sisters, Elizabeth Nevers and Rikkilyn Wortman, all of Houlton; two nieces, Maddison and Nataleigh Nevers, both of Houlton; maternal grandfather, Merle Hayes; paternal grand-parents, Richard and Nina Wortman; several cousins, uncles and aunts; special friend Randy Currier. She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Rose Hayes.
Funeral services were held at the Military Street Baptist Church on Saturday with Rev. Randall Burns officiating. Spring interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
