The Oakfield Senior Citizens met at the Smoki-Hauler Snowmobile Club for their Christmas dinner and Yankee swap on Dec. 4 with 25 members present. Those attending were George Barrows, Kathleen Boutilier, David Burpee, Merle and Evelyn Burpee, Jesse Barrett, Bernice Campbell, Margaret Cameron, Sharon Anderson, Sandra Holmes, Nancie Fowler, Earl and Lottie Doughty, Thelma Flowers, Mildred Gagnon, Marie Gillotti, Mary Lawler, Ursula Levesque, Bob and Dee Locke, Gloria Noyes, Charlotte and Donald Marley, Bonnie Pratt, Larry and Peggy Sanders, Wanetta Townsend, William Dill and Wanetta Wiggins.
As usual, there was a nice dinner after the blessing. Bob Lock opened the business meeting with the Lord’s Prayer and Flag salute. The secretary and treasurer reports were read and accepted. A donation of $100 was approved for Torrie Bates to help with mailed packages to the servicemen. Also, a donation of $100 was approved to a family in need for Christmas. Our next meeting will be held on the 18th where we will get to meet our secret pal students. The 50/50 raffle was won by Bonnie Pratt.
