BANGOR, Maine — A 21-year-old Bangor man with connections to Houlton was charged with murder last week in Bangor, according to the Bangor Daily News.
Zackery Mailloux, a 2010 graduate of Houlton High School and a former football player with the Houlton Knights squad, was arrested Nov. 18 after police discovered the body of his girlfriend, 21-year-old Brooke Locke of Bangor. Locke had reportedly been strangled in the Essex Street apartment she shared with Mailloux.
Mailloux was being held at the Penobscot County Jail without bail pending a grand jury indictment.
