NEWPORT — A fatal New Hampshire accident involving a truck driver from The County remains under investigation, Granite State officials said last Thursday.
Officials at the Merrimack County attorney’s office said they are probing details from a crash in which Kerry Anderson-Baker, 40, of Concord, N.H., was killed. Charges have not been brought against the truck driver, Alan Condon, 51, of Oakfield, but the case remains open.
Condon was heading northbound Sept. 18 in the town of Hooksett on Interstate 93 when a tire-wheel assembly flew off his rig and struck an unmarked state police cruiser before the debris flew into the southbound lanes and struck Anderson-Baker’s vehicle.
Condon was located Wednesday morning in Newport.
Editor’s note: It was later reported by the New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper that a faulty bearing in a wheel hub assembly caused the wheel on Condon’s tractor trailer to dislodge. The tractor trailer was owned by Crawford Mobile Homes in Houlton.
