Teams begin to turn their focus on tightening up their mistakes as the playoffs are just a few weeks away.
Game results for Sept. 17-23 are as follows:
Central Aroostook 7, Katahdin 1 — On Saturday in Stacyville, CAHS had two goals apiece from Karlie Levesque, Molly Anthony and Marissa Anthony to overtake Katahdin. Mollie Garrison added a score for Central Aroostook, as well. Keeper April Santiago had four saves in the game.

For Katahdin, Cassidy Quint had the lone tally. Combining in goal, Courtney Stevens and Georgia Landry had 21 saves.
East Grand 5, Shead 1 — Lauren Morse led the East Grand girls to a victory on Saturday in Eastport, scoring a pair of goals. Sarah Stoddard, Hayleigh Shay and Kianna Caissie each netted a goal for the winners.
Houlton 0, Orono 1 — It was just the reverse score of the Houlton boy’s game on Saturday in the girls’ contest, as the Lady Shires fell to the visiting Red Riots.
Hannah Renedo scored the winning goal off a corner kick in the second half.
Goalie Tanika Toby set back eight of 16 shots for Houlton. Orono keeper Victoria Goodwin stopped six of nine shots.
Orono improves to 5-0, while Houlton drops to 3-2-1.
SACS 7, Katahdin 0 — At Dyer Brook, the visiting Katahdin girls couldn’t crack the net, but Southern Aroostook had no problems in that area.
Cassidy Lyons finished with three goals, while Katie Stevens had two goals and an assist for the winners. Katie Prescott and Kennedi Smith each scored, with Smith gathering two assists.
For Katahdin, Georgia Landry made 20 saves on 30 shots, while SACS keeper Marissa Boulier was a perfect six-for-six.
Katahdin is now 0-4-1, while SACS is 3-3.
Houlton 7, Lee Academy 1 — It was all Houlton last Wednesday against visiting Lee Academy. Natalie Hill led the scoring attack with a pair of goals and an assist, while Katie Condon added a goal and assist. Bre Longstaff, Breanna Briggs, Abby Deveau and Alana Pratt also scored single tallies for Houlton.

Houlton goalie Toby combined with Hannah Foley to record one save on two shots. For Lee, goalie Billie Jacobs faced 45 shots on goal. She came away with 25 blocks.
East Grand 1, Hodgdon 1 — Last Wednesday, the East Grand Vikings took a 1-0 lead on a Lauren Morse goal and Kianna Caissie’s assist, but Hodgdon knotted the game with Rachel Harmon’s second-half tally.
Houlton 5, Schenck 0 — Last Tuesday in a make-up game, the Lady Shires rolled by their opponents. Pratt scored her first of two goals 1:47 into the game which set the tone. Hill chalked up two goals, Emily Mooers a goal and assist, while Madelene Anderson and Briggs an assist apiece. Houlton goalie Toby combined with Foley to stop five of six shots faced.
Schenck’s keeper had 30 saves on 40 shots.
