HOULTON — Houlton High School’s Class of 1963 began their 50th class reunion weekend with a casual gathering at O’Kelley’s Pub August 16. Then on Saturday, Paul Prosser, head of Houlton High School maintenance, showed many former students what Houlton High School looks like today, including the updated Performing Arts Center. Donations were collected to purchase an auditorium chair from the Class of 1963. They also viewed the new pellet heating facility.

Classmates then met at the Houlton Country Club for dinner and a social evening. Hollie Ingraham, class vice president was the mistress of ceremonies for the event. Special recognition was given to Patty Donovan Fitzpatrick, a member who was voted as doing the most for the class since their high school days. Fitzpatrick was presented with an alumni jacket by David McGillicuddy, a representative of the Houlton High School Alumni Association. A moment of silence was observed for 24 deceased members of the class.
