Douglas S. Page, 56, of Center Conway died suddenly Saturday, August 3, 2013. Born in Lebanon, PA, the son of Charles and Lorraine (Caldwell) Page, he lived in Coraopolis, PA, lived in Houlton, ME for eight years, and moved to Hudson, NH where he graduated from Alvirne High School, class of 1975. He had lived in the Mount Washington Valley area of NH for over twenty-five years.
Douglas had been a professional photographer and most recently for many years had been employed at Nestlenook Farm Inn and Resort in Jackson, NH.
Doug was very athletic and excelled in basketball and soccer while in high school. He also loved the White Mountains of New Hampshire; hiking, alpine and cross-country skiing.
The family includes, besides his parents of Ocala, FL; two sisters, Marlene R. Page Nelson of Easton, ME and Patti L. Page Ferron and her husband, Kenneth, of Nashua, NH; a brother, David L. Page and his wife, Brenda, of Merrimack; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
There was a calling hour from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the funeral service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 11 at the Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Douglas S. Page to Kennett High School Athletics Department, c/o Kerry Brady, Athletic Director, 409 Eagles Way, North Conway, NH, 03860.
