The Houlton Fair season has come and gone once again with yet another successful year in the Exhibit Hall. There were a few changes this year with the retirement of Shelbie Hoyt and the passing of Leota Hare. Newcomer, Jody Wellington, took the reins for her first year at the hall. “I had a great time meeting and seeing all the people who come into the exhibit hall,” Jody said, “I can’t wait for next year’s fair; we are looking to try some new cooking contests and maybe challenge some local groups in a quilt making competition.”

A big “thank you” to Debbie Melvin, Erin Wellington, Dennis Thibodeau and all the volunteers for their help and support with Jody’s first year at the Leota Hare Exhibit Hall. It wouldn’t be possible without the many hours volunteered in setting up, judging and taking everything down.
