Hello everyone again! Had a wonderful day this past Friday when I observed my 90th birthday. Had lots of calls and birthday cards. My daughter, Kathryn Hall and niece Susanne DeGrasse were here and helped me celebrate. All in all, it was a beautiful day and I thank God for my health.

Bill Cogswell from New York is here in Houlton visiting with his sisters, Norma Bates, Gerry Dunn and Lavina Byron. Glad to see you Bill.
Paul Armstrong had back surgery on Thursday. I saw him Friday and he is fine.
Lavina Byron is happy over the news that her son is moving back to Houlton sometime soon. Robin Chambers, my neighbor, keeps me supplied with sweets, peanut butter pie this morning. So delicious. Pauline Botting Clewly is rid of her ‘’riding boots’’ and is able to walk without boots now since her accident.
Saturday was an odd day as to the weather. It would rain, clear up, rain again and did that several times during the day.
The weekly band concert attendees were treated to yellow and blue balloons, sponsored by the Bangor Savings Bank. The concert was very good as always.
The usual Bible verse is taken from Luke 10 38-40: ‘’Jesus entered a village where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed him. She had a sister named Mary who had sat beside the Lord as his feet listening to him speak. Martha, burdened with much serving came to him and said, ‘’Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving?’’ Tell her to help me.’’
See you next week.
