Take Off Pounds Sensibly Chapter 0233 of Houlton met at the Aldergate building on High Street for its July 19 meeting.
Nineteen members were weighed; four of these were KOPS (Keep Pounds Off Sensibly). Loser of the week was Lois Downing with runner-up Kay Grass. Kay had a guest, her cousin, Laurice.
Roll call was given and Joanne Scott gave weight recorder’s summary. Janette Nelson gave a monthly financial report.
The skinny dish and 50/50 were both taken home by Charlotte Marley. A clarification was given on the bylaws to read: after three weeks $6.00 dues. Denise Clark gave a report on the Polka Dot contest—one more week to go. Denise also had charge of the program: food menu.
The rest of the meeting was given to open microphone. Lois Downing celebrated her 90th birthday and all sang ‘’Happy Birthday’’ to Lois.
