Purple Hat ladies met in Monticello for their July meeting on Tuesday, July 9 at the Blue Moose restaurant.
There was an excellent turnout with 25 ladies and one guest. Charlotte Marley greeted us in our purple hats and we all gave our Purple Hat names.
Lois Downing offered the grace before meal. The guest was Viola Hersey, sister of Larry Sanders and sister-in-law of Peggy Sanders.
Alma Clark was among the ladies who hadn’t been with us for a long time, two years.
Birthdays were acknowledged: Lois Downing, Peggy Sanders and Cindy Gray have birthdays in July. Charlotte and Cindy Gray were the two ladies who had humorous readings.
Two ladies received monthly bears by Charlotte.
For the August meeting we will meet in Hodgdon at the ice cream place and you are reminded to please bring a chair.
