RWM, age 79, of Weston, ME and Citrus Springs, FL, passed away on May 6, 2013 at Hospice House of Citrus County, FL. He was born January 26, 1934, in Danforth, ME, son of Wendell and Marjorie (Bancroft) Moody.
He married Jean McKnight in 1953 and they spent 59 years together.
Dick is survived by his wife, Jean; a brother, Wayne and wife, Mary Ellen, of Janesville, Wisc.; a sister, Helen and husband, John, of Salem, OR; and close cousin, Sherwood and wife, Nancy, of New Limerick; son, Steven and wife, Jackie, of Granby, CT; son, James and wife, Heidi, of Marlborough, CT; daughter, Linda of Citrus Springs; eight grandchildren, Brett, Kraig, Alexa, Allison, Matthew, Becky, Amber, and Abby.
Dick served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and served two years in Korea.
A memorial service will be at the Smith Cemetery in Weston on June 22 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Weston Community Church.
