Purple Hat ladies met at the new restaurant in Island Falls, River Cafe. Everyone was anxious to see the new place to eat. Leader Charlotte Marley was in charge with her purple hat (we never know what hat she is going to wear), to greet everyone.
We could have sat outdoors, but the rain kept us inside. We could see the water though from inside. Lois Downing led the blessing before the meal. Then each member gave her purple hat name. Pictures were passed around and birthdays were acknowledged.
Charlotte gave a financial report and a few ladies reported on their graduation memories of years ago. Lois Downing was the recipient of one of the monthly ‘’bears.’’
